IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

​Be aware of these safety precautions when using Aromatherapy products:

​

  • If you are pregnant, do not use the following Pure Essential Oil blends containing these oils in topical applications: Basil, Cedarwood, Cinnamon Leaf, Clary Sage, Ginger, Jasmine, Marjoram, Peppermint, Rosemary or Wintergreen oils. During the first trimester of pregnancy it is not recommended to use any essential oils in topical applications.

  • Do NOT use Essential Oils topically on cats, they cannot metabolize  Essential Oils so you must be careful to protect their liver. Because they like to lick themselves, you must never put Oils on their skin or fur.

  • NEVER add Essential Oils to your pet’s food or water – this goes for dogs, cats, horses, goldfish… any animal! Everything taken orally goes via the liver and Essential Oils are too strong and potent.

  • Lavender or blends containing Lavender may cause drowsiness for sufferers of low blood pressure.

  • Citrus oils may cause skin sensitivity if applied to the skin before and during direct exposure to the sun.

  • If any adverse reaction occurs, cease use immediately and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.

  • Pure Essential Oils should not be used to treat serious medical or psychological problems without first consulting a certified practitioner.

  • Pure Essential Oils are for external use only – they should not be taken internally.

  • Keep out of reach of children under 12.

  • When applying Essential Oils directly on the skin of young children it is best to seek medical advice before beginning any ongoing treatment.

  • Pure Essential Oils are not recommended for use on the delicate skin of newborn babies less than three months old. 

  • Up to 2 years: Dilute further with a carrier oil to one-quarter of the recommended adult dosage.
    Up to 5 years: Dilute to one-third of the recommended adult dosage.

  • Up to 12 years: Dilute to one-half of the recommended adult dosage.

  • Over 12 years: Ready for full adult dosage.

  • Rosemary or blends containing Rosemary should not be used by sufferers of high blood pressure or epilepsy.

  • Lavender or blends containing Lavender may cause drowsiness for sufferers of low blood pressure.

  • Do not apply citrus oils to the skin before and during direct sun exposure as this may cause skin sensitivity.
